Step 5: Choose Your Project Design

Based on the goals of your project, you will need to select an appropriate study design.

Selecting an appropriate study design requires the assistance of a statistician or a basic knowledge of the three main categories of study design:

  • descriptive
  • retrospective,
  • and prospective.
